To become a Christian requires a personal decision on your part. While God has provided all that is needed through the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the gift of forgiveness and eternal life cannot be yours unless you willingly accept it. God requires an individual response from you. May the following guidance from scripture lead to such a decision!
We are all the object of God’s incredible love!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
God loves you plain and simple! His love can bless you with personal fulfillment, meaning and the promise of eternity, but there is something blocking that from happening. We are all the object of God’s incredible love!
But there is a problem, We are all broken!
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23)
Intuitively we know that we are all broken. Many times our pride will not allow us to acknowledge this truth, but the Bible confirms it. We all do things that we know are wrong. These actions, which the Bible calls “sin,” separate us from God. These actions create a void between us and a perfect God.
Here is the rub, Our brokeness has consequence!
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)
One of the basic laws of physics is that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. Within the spiritual realm such a law also exists; for every act of sin there is a resulting consequence. The consequence of our sin is that we are separated from God. If we do not seek a remedy, we will remain separated from God for all eternity. The Bible calls this separation hell!
