REVIVAL WEEKEND
Sharing the Good News of Jesus
AUGUST 29-30
WE BELIEVE YOU ARE HERE FOR A REASON
Maybe it's been a long time since you've been to church. Maybe you've never been. Maybe you have questions about God, faith, or what comes next. Wherever you are, you're invited to Revival Weekend...a weekend of hope, encouragement, and a message that could change the way you see your life.
What to Expect
Visiting a new church can feel a little overwhelming—whether it’s been a while or it’s your very first time. Know that you’ll be surrounded by people who love God and love you. Whether you’re exploring faith, looking for a fresh start, or searching for a church to call home, we hope that from the moment you enter the parking lot, you sense something different about this place. That difference is Jesus, and our goal is to help you take your next step toward Him!

Meet Tony Nolan
A Story of Redemption. A Life Dedicated to Sharing Jesus.
Our Revival Weekend services will include worship, community, and a Biblical message from our special guest, Tony Nolan.
After experiencing a difficult childhood marked by abandonment, abuse, addiction, and brokenness, Tony encountered Jesus in 1989 and surrendered his life to Christ. God radically changed the direction of his life and gave him a passion for helping others hear the Gospel.
Since then, Tony has spent decades traveling across the country, sharing the hope of Jesus and seeing God use his testimony to lead people toward salvation and a deeper relationship with Christ.
We’re grateful to have Tony with us at First Sarasota and are expectant for what God will do!
3 WAYS TO GET INVOLED
Help someone in your life experience Revival Weekend.
1. PRAY
Pray for hearts to be open, obstacles to be removed, and for God to move in our church and community.
Help someone in your life experience Revival Weekend.
Lord, open their heart.
Prepare them to hear and receive the Gospel.
Lord, give me courage.
Help me recognize the opportunity and invite them.
Lord, remove obstacles.
Make a way for them to be here for one of the services on August 29 or 30.
Lord, use Tony Nolan.
Give him clarity, boldness, compassion, and the Spirit's power.
Lord, move in our church.
Give First Sarasota a renewed burden for the lost.
Lord, save people.
We cannot change hearts, but we're asking You for a harvest of souls.
2. INVITE
A simple invitation from you can make an eternal impact. Don’t overthink it—you don’t need the perfect words.
A personal invitation can make an eternal impact.
A personal invitation from someone they already know can be as simple as a phone call, handing out an invite card, or a few of these texts:
TEXT 1 — START THE CONVERSATION
Hey! Our church has a really special weekend coming up August 29–30, and you came to mind. I’d love for you to come with us!
TEXT 2 — MAKE IT PERSONAL
I really think you’d enjoy this. We’re calling it Revival Weekend, and we’re having Tony Nolan with us. His story is incredible, and it’s all about hope and how Jesus can change a life.
TEXT 3 — FOLLOW UP
Hey! Just wanted to circle back about Revival Weekend this weekend. Do you think you’ll make it? We’d still love for you to come with us!
The goal isn't to convince someone. The goal is simply to invite them.
3. SHARE

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who should I invite?
Anyone God has placed in your life, especially someone who doesn’t know Jesus, doesn’t have a church home, has walked away, or needs hope right now.
What if they ask a faith question I can't answer?
You don’t have to know everything. It’s okay to say, “Great question. I don’t know, but I’d love to find out with you.”
What if they already attend another church?
This isn’t about pulling people from a Bible-believing church. Focus on those who don’t know Jesus or aren’t connected anywhere.
Can their kids come with them?
We love kids! First Kids is available on Saturday at 5 PM and Sunday at 9:30 & 10:55 AM. Sunday at 5 PM will be a family service. Teenagers are welcome to join us for any service.
What if they say no?
That’s okay. Your responsibility is faithfulness, not the outcome. Keep loving and praying for them. Reach out anyway.
What if I haven't talked to them in a while?
A simple, genuine invitation may mean more than you realize.
What if I'm nervous to invite someone?
That’s normal. Pray first, then send the text. Courage doesn’t mean feeling comfortable. It means being faithful anyway.
Can I invite more than one person?
Absolutely. Pray about several people and invite as many as God puts on your heart.
Which services should they come to?
While the Lord may move in a unique way during each service, they are welcome to attend whichever service works best for their schedule.
